The SFF Committee provides copies of Specifications via the Documentation Service. SFF Specifications are available over theweb by ftp or via CD_Access.

  • Individual copies of specifications are not sold.
  • Subscribers to the CD_Access Service receive the latest set of all specifications in every mailing of the SFF Committee, plus minutes of all meeting in the previous year and year to date, including copies of what was distributed at those meetings.
  • Subscribers to the Documentation Service receive only the revisions updated in the current mailing cycle plus minutes and copies of what was distributed at the meeting.

To encourage wide distribution, SFF Specifications are not copyrighted. Specifications are revised regularly, so before making inquiries on a specification from the technical editor be sure you have the latest revision.

To direct inquiries to the technical editor, use the Technical Editor's email address (it varies by specification and is on the front cover of every document).

To inquire about SFF and its operations: send your email to: endlcom@acm.org

Documentation including the minutes and distributed material is mailed to Members and Observers every two months. Individual copies of SFF Specifications are available via ftp.

The status of SFF Specifications is summarized in SFF-8000.

Please be aware Published copies are not available until at least two months, perhaps longer, than the final revision of a Specification is technically completed. There is a procedural delay caused by the balloting of all members, and the possibility of style and appearance changes caused by final editing.

Reflector

The SFF reflector is used to distribute information to all individuals who are on the list of participants. It is not necessary to be a Member or Observer of SFF to join the reflector.
